As part of the “Ageing in Cities” project implemented in partnership between the Red Cross of Serbia and Serbian Commissioner for Protection of Equality, a focus group interviews with older people was organised on 5 October 2017 in the premises of the Red Cross of Serbia branch in Indjija. Older people living in Indjija spoke about the healthcare and social welfare services, about safety, local transportation but also about their interests in being included in different activities in the local community. They talked about discrimination and intergenerational solidarity too.

After the interview was finished, the last year’s research on Older People in Rural Areas was presented to the focus group members as well as the representatives of local authorities, Centre for Social Welfare and civil society oragnisations. Both research projects are supported by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
