On 17 May the Red Cross of Serbia organized a focus group discussion on the premises of the Red Cross of Kragujevac. This event was organized as part of the project looking into status of older people living in rural areas that the Red Cross of Serbia runs in cooperation with the Commissioner for Protection of Equality and with UNFPA support. Older people from several villages around Kragujevac took part in the discussion talking about their living conditions in the countryside, about what kind of support they need and which services they miss. They provided their suggestions for how to solve their problems in the most effective and efficient way. This is the first of six focus group meetings that will be organized by the end of June.
