Psychological First Aid and Psychosocial Support in Complex Emergencies

As part of the Psychological First Aid and Psychosocial Support in Complex Emergencies project, the Red Cross Serbia will between 7 and 9 December 2018 organise an education workshop for team leaders engaged in Disaster Preparedness programmes. This is a regional workshop with participants including staff and volunteers of the Red Cross of Serbia, Croatian Red Cross, Macedonian Red Cross and Slovenian Red Cross. Through the three day of the workshop, the topics covered will include psychological first aid, help to helpers and managing spontaneous volunteers with a view of building capacity of team leaders for good coordination and management of psychosocial activities during the emergency preparedness phase. The education material was developed by University Innsbruck and the training will be delivered by the Red Cross of Serbia experts.

The Psychological First Aid and Psychosocial Support in Complex Emergencies project is coordinated by Austrian Red Cross with support by European Union, and Italian Red Cross also participates in it.
