On October 12 and 13, 2022, the XI International Gerontological Congress was held in Belgrade at the Palace of Serbia under the title "Gerontology: opportunities and perspectives in the post COVID-19 world". Representatives of the Red Cross of Serbia participated in the Congress, and during the Congress, two components of the project “Strengthening the resilience of older persons and persons with disabilities during Covid-19 and future crises” coordinated by the Red Cross of Serbia, were presented.

Research on long-term care needs, which was conducted this year, was presented. The second component presented is psychosocial support by telephone; Prof. Dr. Barbara Juan from the University of Innsbruck presented the evaluation of this part of the project. This project is financially supported by the European Union and the Austrian Development Agency.
