As part of the planned activities of the project "Strengthening the resilience of older persons and persons with disabilities during COVID-19 and future crises", a Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) self-assessment workshop on CVA capacity of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia was organized in Struga from 5 to 7 May. The aim of the workshop was to increase the capacity to establish systems and procedures that will enable timely and effective intervention in cash grants for vulnerable older persons and persons with disabilities in the coming period. The increased CVA capacity will enable even more effective support to vulnerable persons affected by the crisis and will provide an opportunity for them to decide how best to meet their personal needs and the needs of their household.

The workshop was moderated by colleagues from the Red Cross of Serbia and the Austrian Red Cross, and the workshop was attended by representatives of 10 local organizations of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia. The project "Strengthening the resilience of older persons and persons with disabilities during COVID-19 and future crises" is financially supported by the European Union and the Austrian Development Agency, and the project is coordinated by the Red Cross of Serbia. provide an opportunity for them to decide how best to meet their personal needs and the needs of their household.
