The third issue of the TASIOP newsletter covers the development in the regional project dedicated to social inclusion of older people financed by European Union, Austrian Development Agency and Austrian Red Cross. In this issue we want to inform you about the upcoming Ministerial Conference on Ageing next year in Lisbon, preceded by the review and appraisal of the regional Implementation Strategy for the Madrid International Action Plan on Ageing.

Read about it in a column written by Ms. Vitalija Gaucaite Wittich, Population Unit Chief, UNECE. We will also provide the summary of the September report of the Independent Expert on the enjoyment of all human rights by older persons appointed by the Human Rights Council. We will also present the activities of the Austrian Red Cross in social inclusion of older people over the age of 80, as well as the regular activities of the project partners.
