Delegation of the Red Cross of Serbia at the International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in Geneva
The delegation of the Red Cross of Serbia participates in the highest statutory meetings of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and the International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, which are held in Geneva, from October 22 to 31, 2024.
The delegation of the Red Cross of Serbia consists of prof. Dr. Dragan Radovanović, President, Ljubomir Miladinović, Secretary General and Saša Avram, Head of the International Cooperation Department.
As part of his appearances at the three aforementioned gatherings, the president, prof. Dr. Radovanović, head of the delegation of the Red Cross of Serbia, emphasized the importance of respecting the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, referring to the key role of the principles of humanity, neutrality and impartiality as the basis for work in communities around the world, as well as in our country.
Statutory meetings brought together delegations of national societies of the Red Cross and Red Crescent from all over the world, who discussed current, global humanitarian challenges and the importance of joint coordination in humanitarian work.
The International Conference was attended by high-ranking representatives of the Republic of Serbia as well as representatives of other countries, signatories to the Geneva Conventions, contributing to making this the largest humanitarian forum.
The Red Cross of Serbia will continue to improve its activities and adhere to international standards and principles of the Movement, providing support and assistance to the most vulnerable, with strict adherence to the Fundamental Principles.
