On Wednesday 24 April 2019 in the Congress Hall of the Red Cross of Serbia a final meeting of the “Psychological First Aid and Psychosocial Support in Complex Emergencies” project was organised. In addition to the red Cross of Serbia representatives, the meeting was attended by representatives of different institutions (Commissioner for Protection of Equality, Institute for Public Health of the Republic of Serbia “Dr Milan Jovanovic Batut”, Institute for Home Nursing and Palliative Treatment as well as the Standing Conference of Cities and Municipalities) and students of the Faculty for Media and Communication with their professors. The Red Cross of Serbia representative, Natasa Todorovic presented the project achievements and the material developed in the course of the project. Special emphasis was put on the material pertaining to psychological first aid and psychosocial support.

An important part of the material relates to spontaneous volunteers, their engagement in complex crises as well as requests for minimum training that volunteers need to receive. Many present university students expressed their desire to receive training and become volunteers in this area. The meeting had 27 participants.
