In continuation of the activities of the Red Cross of Serbia on the occasion of the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, a lecture was held for their beneficiaries, older women, of the nursing home “Preporod” in Novi Slankamen. The lecture was delivered by Nataša Todorović and dr Milutin Vračević, expert associates of the Red Cross of Serbia, and presented the concept of violence against older persons and the most common forms of violence older women are likely to encounter, with a special focus on violence in care institutions. The beneficiaries listened with interest to the lecture in which the most common reasons why older women do not report violence were also presented.
