Representatives of the Red Cross of Serbia attended a public hearing in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on August 2, 2023, organized as part of the public debate on the Proposed Strategy for Improving the Position of Older Persons in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2024 to 2030. The public discussion lasts from July 27 to August 15, 2023, with online discussions and three public hearings, one of which was organized in Belgrade.

Darija Kisić Tepavčević, Minister of Family Care and Demography, whose ministry is the author of the draft strategy, as well as Darko Laketić, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Committee for Health and Family of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, also participated in this public hearing. The discussion was moderated by Stana Božović, State Secretary in the Ministry of Family Care and Demography, and the Red Cross of Serbia, that participated in writing the previous Strategy represents an important part of the civil sector that deals with this topic and contributes to the work on the strategy before proceeding with the development of action plans and budgets.
